Summary
Major update. The former getJob/updateJob function (httpConnect) has been replaced by one that is based on curl rather than on urllib/urllib2 due to safety reasons. All communications with the dispatcher are now secure. All URLs are now hardcoded in the pilot since aliases (such as pandasrv.cern.ch) can currently not be used with secure curl. The pilot token paradigm has also been implemented, awaiting full implementation on the server side.
Furthermore, the pilot is now attempting to kill any remaining [athena] processes since it was discovered that some pool commands can hang indefinately which is missed by athena.
